GOODMAN SNAGS TEE-COM

Goodman Communications of Toronto landed the PR portion of the Tee-Comm Electronics account earlier this month. The agency was given the business without a review. It handled a project for Tee-Comm in September. Environics Communications of Toronto was the incumbent on the business, but the agency hadn't been working for Tee-Comm for about six months. Tee-Comm has applied to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission for a direct-to-home satellite license. The hearing for the license begins Dec. 2. If Tee-Comm receives approval to launch the service, it will look for an agency. Tee-Comm of Milton, Ont. used to own a third of ExpressVu Inc. of Mississauga, Ont. This company has a license to launch a DTH service, but ExpressVu has been plagued by delays.
