COREL GETS PUSHED OFF SHELVES IN GERMANY

Police in Munich, Germany have pulled some of Ottawa-based Corel Corp.'s graphics software off store shelves because it contains Nazi-related images not permitted for publication in Germany. One of the programs that was confiscated was Draw6 because someone used Corel images of Adolf Hitler and the swastika insignia in neo-Nazi propaganda. Many Corel programs include thousands of clip-art images to be used by customers when creating documents. Corel is appealing the move in Munich this week. The new version of Corel's Draw7 will not contain the Nazi-related images.
