DARE TOUTS BRETON CRACKERS IN CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
Dare Foods of Kitchener, Ont. launched a TV campaign last week for its Breton brand of crackers. The three commercials are airing in major markets in Ontario and Alberta and are built around the theme "A taste to call your own." Each of the spots are set in Cape Breton and are based on the humorous proposition that the people of Cape Breton love the taste of these crackers so much they've decided to claim them for their own.
Separately, Dare will decide at the end of the year whether to nationally roll out an Alberta TV campaign for its Dare Real Fruit Gummies candy. The TV spot began airing in early October. It features a couple of cowboys watching a newcomer trying to break in a horse. When the rider gets tossed into the air, one cowboy turns to the other and says, "Toronto boy." Advertising for Dare is done by Stringer Veroni Ketchum of Toronto.
