Alcon signs endorsement deal with Kaylyn Kyle

Toronto-based eye care company Alcon Canada has signed an endorsement agreement with professional soccer player Kaylyn Kyle. She will participate in various promotions in support of the company's contact lens products. According to the company, these promotions will focus on young athletes by highlighting the comfort of these products. Initiatives will include social media activities and live events.

"During a match, I need a contact lens that won't dry out or irritate my eyes, so the only thing I need to focus on is my game," said Kyle. "That's why I wear Dailies Total1 contact lenses, because they provide me with total comfort not just during a game but throughout my entire day. I had to play with glasses growing up.  So getting hit with a soccer ball and cutting my face open was, unfortunately, not an uncommon occurrence. I think nowadays it's cool that I can tell kids that I wear a contact lens and if they're having trouble with their vision, or they are wearing glasses on the field, that they do have another option."

Alcon Canada is a division of Novartis Group.
