Postmedia launches content marketing unit

Toronto-based Postmedia has launched a new content marketing unit called Postmedia Content Works. The unit will consolidate the company's various content marketing services and products previously offered by Postmedia Works, Postmedia Labs and Infomart. It will work in association with clients to develop content marketing programs for their own websites, social media pages and internal communications.

"We are breaking the mold of a traditional media company selling its own brands and audiences to advertisers," said Mike Pilmer, senior vice-president of Postmedia Content Works. "The conversation is now about telling our customers' stories to their target audiences on any platform. Brands have become their own content destinations so the need for complementary and engaging experiences that exemplify the promise of those brands is growing. Our team of journalists, videographers, designers and developers can deliver on any of a company’s content needs from employee outreach to lifestyle consumer videos for customer websites. This is not traditional advertising placement. It's audience engagement between brands and their communities of interest."
