Shaw Media adds original content staff

Shaw Media of Toronto has promoted Lisa Godfrey to the position of head of original content. She will oversee programming for Global and specialty channels. Godfrey was most recently director of programming and scheduling at Shaw. Prior to that, she was director of original factual content.

Robyn Hutt has joined the company as director of factual content. She will oversee History, Slice and reality programming for Global. Hutt was most recently senior vice-president of original programming at TruTV.

Krista Look has been hired as director of lifestyle content. She will oversee HGTV Canada and Food Network Canada. She was previously a series producer at Master Chef Canada and a supervising producer at CBC.

Rachel Nelson has been promoted to director original dramatic content. She will lead the development and production of dramatic original series and co-productions. She joined the company ten years ago.

Lynne Carter has been promoted to manager of factual content and business affairs. She was most recently a production executive. Prior to joining Shaw in 2007, she was a production executive at Alliance Atlantis.

Nancy Franklin has been promoted to manager of original lifestyle content. She was previously a production executive for channels including Slice, HGTV Canada and Food Network Canada.

Marni Goldman has joined the company as lifestyle production executive. She has spent the last four years as a production executive at Rogers Media.

Larissa Laycock has also been appointed to the position of lifestyle production executive. She has previously worked as a story editor, a series producer and director.
