Canadian Tire conducts Wanna Play contest

Canadian Tire conducted a promotional event this week involving hockey player Wayne Gretzky. As part of its ongoing "Wanna Play?" campaign, the winner of a social media contest was invited to play a game with Gretzky at an outdoor ice rink. The summer campaign encouraged consumers to invite others to come out and play.
"One of the greatest hockey players ever, Wayne Gretzky, is a welcome addition to help Canadian Tire inspire Canadians to live healthy, active lifestyles," said TJ Flood, senior vice-president of marketing at Canadian Tire. "We believe that play helps foster fitness, confidence and creativity. It all starts with the simplest act of a neighbourly knock on a front door with an invite to play."
