Broadbent Institute releases online video

The Ottawa-based Broadbent Institute has begun a digital campaign called "Can't Wait" to encourage Canadians to vote in the upcoming federal election at advance polls. The one-minute online video, produced in English and French by Pollinator Films, consists of five scenes depicting the excitement and urgency people feel about voting. It is supported by a website at <http://www.broadbentinstitute.ca/cantwait>. The effort is aimed primarily at younger voters.

"There's a strong feeling in the country that it's time for change and we wanted to capture this sense of urgency and excitement in a humorous way," said Rick Smith, executive director of the institute. "The video does that in spades. We can't wait for change and know millions of Canadians are ready too. We have no doubt this video will motivate them to get out and vote."
