GALLOP EXPANDS INTO INTERNET ADVERTISING

Toronto-based Gallop & Gallop Advertising will launch an Internet advertising service in mid-November. Called Virtual Billboard Network, the service will allow advertisers to plan and buy Internet media from a single rate card using on-line media management tools. Virtual Billboard supplies the advertiser with the software needed to create ads, and then arranges to deliver the ads to Web pages. Using LiveAD software, which was developed by Gallop, users will be able to interact with advertiser messages, obtain product information, play games, get electronic coupons, order product samples, see products demonstrated and send e-mail directly to the advertiser. Eventually, consumers will be able to order products directly from the ad. Virtual Billboard will be managed by Gallop's Internet subsidiary, Gallop & Gallop WorldWide Corp.
