MOTOROLA EXPANDS STARMAX FAMILY

U.S.-based Motorola Computer Group will introduce three new computers to its StarMax family next week. The new machines, which will be available worldwide, are Power PC-based and MAC OS compatible. They are in the entry-level 3000 series, using the PowerPC 603e microprocessor running at either 180 or 240 megahertz. In Canada, national print advertising supports the launch of the machines. It was created by Sciola Martin Advertising of Austin, Texas. StarMax computers were launched worldwide in September. All systems come equipped with multimedia features including eight-speed CD-ROM and 16-bit stereo sound. Each have expandable memory to 160 megabytes.
