PowerStream hires MacLaren McCann

Energy company PowerStream of Vaughan, ON has retained MacLaren McCann of Toronto as its marketing agency of record. The company supplies electrical power and related services to approximately 375,000 customers in southern and central Ontario. It is jointly owned by the Cities of Barrie, Markham and Vaughan. Part of MacLaren McCann's assignment will be to encourage consumers to conserve electricity. PowerStream cited the agency's recent work for New Brunswick Power as a significant factor in its decision.
"In order to stay at the forefront of the energy sector we need a partner that understands our vision in this complicated market," said Raegan Bond, vice-president of conservation and demand management at PowerStream. "With their deep experience in the energy sector, MacLaren McCann was a natural choice and will help us innovate in the face of change."
