Caruso departs Leo Burnett

Dom Caruso has departed the position of president and chief operating officer at Toronto-based Leo Burnett. Caruso has held this position for the past four years. Prior to joining Leo Burnett in 2011, he was president and CEO of BBDO Toronto. He has also been president of Cossette Toronto, as well as president and director of strategic planning at MacLaren McCann.
The agency has promoted general manager David Kennedy to the additional positions of chief operating officer and executive vice-president. Kennedy joined the agency as a vice-president and account director in 2007.
Chief strategy officer Brent Nelsen has been promoted to the additional position of executive vice-president. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, he was a senior vice-president and strategic planning director at DDB Worldwide.
