BAM AWARDED SCIENCE CENTRE BUSINESS
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based BAM Creative Directions recently landed the Ontario Science Centre account. The agency won in a competition with five other Toronto agencies: Communiqué, The On-going Partnership, Stanford Agency, The Wolf Group and The Gingko Group. BAM "demonstrated strong creative development ability, excellent innovative media planning capabilities and sound strategic thinking," OSC acting director general Debra Feldman says in a release. BAM's first campaign will be for the launch of the Shoppers Drug Mart OMNIMAX Theatre opening in December. The incumbent on the account was Harrod & Mirlin of Toronto. The agency had to resign from the business earlier this year because H&M was bought by True North Communications of Chicago. Agencies must be 100% Canadian owned to work on a provincial government account.
