Trader Corporation of Toronto has retained Co-Op Advertising, also based in Toronto, as the communications agency for its AutoTrader.ca property. The website is aimed a consumers seeking to buy or sell a car. Co-Op will develop advertising campaigns for the site, beginning with a national television campaign that broke yesterday. A digital campaign will follow in the spring. The agency won the account in a competitive pitch process conducted in January.
"We were drawn to the Co-Op team initially because their fresh, flexible approach to resourcing aligned perfectly with our needs as an agile, dynamic advertiser," said Ian MacDonald, director of marketing at Trader Corporation. "But most importantly, this approach allowed both parties to focus solely on the core of the matter, the ideas and the work, the quality of which ultimately won our business."
