Egg Farmers of Canada launches research chair

The Ottawa-based Egg Farmers of Canada has formed an association with the University of Waterloo to establish a research chair in public policy. The first person to hold this chair will be Bruce Muirhead, a history professor at the university. He will develop a public policy research program addressing current and future challenges to Canadian egg farmers.

"With the creation of this Chair, we hope to continually elevate the calibre of the dialogue on supply management and ensure that any future policy decisions that could affect supply managed commodities are as informed as possible," said Tim Lambert, chief executive officer at Egg Farmers of Canada.
