Rogers appoints chief corporate affairs officer

Rogers Communications of Toronto has appointed Jacob Glick to the newly-created position of chief corporate affairs officer. Beginning on Nov. 3, he will head the company's integrated corporate affairs staff, which will incorporate regulatory affairs, public policy, government relations, internal and external communications, and social media. Glick was previously at Google, where he was most recently head of its global central public policy and government relations unit. Prior to that, he was the head of Google Canada's public policy and government relations unit. Before joining Google, he was general counsel, director of policy development and corporate secretary at the Canadian Internet Registration Authority. He has also worked at law firm McCarthy Tétrault.
