New chief creative officer at DDB Canada

DDB Canada has promoted Cosmo Campbell to the position of national chief creative officer. He will be based in Toronto. He will oversee the creative output of the agency's various Canadian offices. He will also lead the creative staff of the firm's Volkswagen account. Campbell, who has worked at DDB for 17 years, was previously co-executive creative director at DDB Vancouver.

"Cosmo's proven senior leadership comes with an unparalleled depth in creative horsepower," said David Leonard, national president and COO at DDB Canada. "He cares deeply about our people, our clients and our brand. I know he will excel in his new role as national chief creative officer. We have a heritage of cultivating in-house talent, being committed to succession planning and promoting from within. Cosmo's new appointment builds upon this foundation."

Outgoing chief creative officer Kevin Drew Davis will move to DDB Chicago to become senior vice-president and executive creative director for the agency's US-based McDonald's account. At DDB Vancouver, Dean Lee will continue as the agency's now-single executive creative director.
