CIL Paints breaks new campaign

PPG Architectural Coatings Canada has begun a new advertising campaign for its CIL Paints line of products. The campaign, called "Maybe Your Walls Are Trying to Tell You Something," was developed by DDB Canada of Toronto. It consists of two 15-second commercials that will run online as video pre-roll until mid-September. These are being supported by banner ads and social media activities. The creative depicts the walls of a house discussing being re-painted. The ads also suggest that consumers considering redecorating try the brand's online "Ask An Expert" tool at <http://www.cil.ca/advice>.

"Most campaigns take the perspective of the consumer," said Cosmo Campbell, chief creative officer at DDB Canada. "However here the creative takes the point of view of the walls, which makes it cheeky and memorable."
