Whistler Blackcomb signs sponsorship with Icebreaker

British Columbia-based ski resort Whistler Blackcomb has signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with outdoor apparel company Icebreaker of New Zealand. During the sponsorship, staff of the resort will wear Icebreaker clothing. The company will also receive branding and marketing exposure at retail locations in Whistler Village, on mountain-base signage and through a series of consumer promotions.
"As a brand that strives to inspire adventures in nature, Icebreaker is excited to partner with Whistler Blackcomb, one of North America's most iconic mountain playgrounds," said Justin Walford, general manager of Icebreaker Canada. "Canada is one of Icebreaker's highest performing countries, largely due to the premium Canadians put on investing in high quality outdoor apparel. This partnership is the perfect way to introduce an international audience of winter and summer sports enthusiasts to the brand."
