Cineplex begins Movie Trivia Challenge promotion

Toronto-based theatre chain Cineplex has begun a contest promotion called the "Movie Trivia Challenge" in support of its CineplexStore.com website. The online initiative is located at <http://www.playmovietrivia.com>. Participants will receive points for answering questions about movie trivia as quickly as possible. Consumers can also receive extra rounds of play by recommending the contest to others via social media sites, or by making purchases at CineplexStore.com. Instant prizes will be awarded at random, including free movie concession items, digital movie downloads and 20 Samsung Galaxy S tablets. The grand prize winner will receive $10,000. The contest will run until Sept. 2.
"The Movie Trivia Challenge allows movie lovers to put their incredible movie knowledge to the test," said Pat Marshall, vice-president of communications and investor relations at Cineplex Entertainment. "The Challenge is a great way to introduce the Cineplex Store, and its incredible catalogue of more than 25,000 movies, to Canadian movie fans. When Canadians think of movies, whether it's in-theatre, in-home or on-the-go, we want them to think of Cineplex."
