Mucho Burrito conducts World Cup promotion

Toronto-based restaurant chain Mucho Burrito has begun a promotion tied to Mexico's participation in the World Cup. The promotion, developed by Dougserge&Partners, includes in-restaurant posters and street posters. The posters display the headline "Go Mexico Go" and images of piñatas in the national colours of various teams. Participating restaurants are also conducting special events during which a piñata is broken by a customer to reveal a collection of Mucho Burrito merchandise.

"The World Cup is one of the world's biggest sporting fiesta and has captured the imagination of fans everywhere," said Mike Welling, partner at Dougserge. "With everyone flying the colours of their favourite team, we wanted to help Mucho Burrito support Mexico. Since piñatas are a staple of Mexican fiestas, what better way to help cheer on Mexico to beat their opponents than beating an opponent-themed piñata?"
