Elle Canada conducts interactive cover promotion

Toronto-based fashion magazine Elle Canada is conducting a promotion today tied to the upcoming appearance on its June cover of actress Emma Roberts. The magazine is encouraging its readers to submit suggestions today on the outfits and accessories Roberts should wear during the cover photo shoot. Participants can make suggestions via Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram. They will also be able to see live behind-the-scenes activity at the photo shoot in Los Angeles. Roberts will also answer questions from fans via Twitter during the shoot.

On March 31, visitors to to Ellecanada.com will be able see various cover options and vote for a favourite. Through April, a series of additional videos and images will be posted to social media channels. On May 8, the week the issue will be released, Roberts will participate in a live Twitter chat hosted by the magazine.

"Emma is the perfect choice for our very first interactive cover," said editor-in-chief Noreen Flanagan. "Her career is blossoming, she has an incredible sense of style and a highly engaged social media following. Elle Canada has become such a strong digital brand with our website, IPad edition, e-newsletters, and blogs, so it seems like a natural evolution to integrate social media into our cover shoots."
