Tim Hortons begins Chicken Dance promotion

Tim Hortons began an online contest yesterday in support of the launch of a new menu item called the Tims Crispy Chicken Sandwich. During the initiative, consumers who post videos of themselves performing the Chicken Dance to Instagram or Twitter using a specific hashtag will be entered into a draw for a Tim Hortons gift card. The company also conducted a live event featuring accordionist Walter Ostanek at a Tim Hortons location in downtown Toronto where customers were invited to perform the dance in person for a chance to win a gift card.

"The new Tims Crispy Chicken Sandwich is another example of our commitment to menu innovation that meets the evolving needs and preferences of our guests," said Tammy Martin, vice-president of marketing, food and merchandise at Tim Hortons. "Tim Hortons is Canada's top breakfast destination, and our goal is to become Canada's number one lunch destination as well."
