CNW Group launches online monitoring service

Toronto-based CNW Group has launched a new service called CNW Social Monitoring intended to allow users to track and analyze online conversations. The service is aimed primarily at marketing, client service and public relations professionals. According to the company, the keyword-based stand-alone system returns results from approximately 50 thousand online news sources, 50 million blogs and 10 million forum posts per day, as well as a number of social media services including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. The system can also be set to automatically generate and email reports at preset times. A French-language version of the system is also in development.
