LOTUS SWITCHES WORLDWIDE ACCOUNT TO O&M
By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based Lotus Development Corp. will hand its $70 million(US) worldwide account to Ogilvy & Mather of New York on Jan. 1, 1997. The move was made because Lotus was bought by U.S.-based International Business Machines Corp. last July, and it made sense to have just one agency. O&M is IBM's agency as well. In Canada, Lotus' account is currently with Doner Schur Peppler of Toronto. The company will switch to O&M early next year, Lotus' Canadian marketing analyst Kathryn Robertson told Adnews yesterday.
