Torque Strategies opens in Toronto

A new sponsorship agency called Torque Strategies has opened in Toronto. It will specialize in marketing programs for corporate brands undertaking sponsorships. The agency is a subsidiary of TwentyTen and is staffed by a number of its executives. Torque will be headed by Andrea Shaw, managing partner of TwentyTen and former vice-president of the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The agency will also have an office in Vancouver.

"Sponsorship is one of the most sophisticated and effective tools a marketer has to build their brand, when leveraged effectively," said Bart Given, managing director of Torque Strategies. "Torque will develop integrated marketing solutions that fully unleash the power of strategic sponsorship through precisely tailored solutions to amplify your brand story and create authentic points of interaction. Understanding the pressures on today's market, we invest heavily in market insights, measurement tools and valuation metrics to validate return on investment."
