New Canadian Media launches in Ottawa

A new online news site called New Canadian Media has launched in Ottawa. The site, located at <http://www.newcanadianmedia.ca>, specializes in news and commentary produced by and aimed at recent immigrants to Canada. The site also offers content aggregated from other Canadian multicultural media outlets. The site was constructed in collaboration with Idea Rebel and Extreme Group.
"We see ourselves pioneering a new niche in Canadian journalism," said George Abraham, company founder and director of publishing. "A crossover between ethnic and mainstream media. We've built ourselves ground up, articulating for the first time a fresh take on national issues from a new Canadian perspective, one that is rarely heard in Canadian media."
