WineAlign.com begins awareness campaign

Toronto-based wine recommendation website WineAlign.com has begun an awareness campaign tied to its fifth anniversary. The campaign, developed by The Siren Group of Toronto, will include special events, sponsorships, experiential marketing, publicity, national media relations and a social media activities.

The company is also planning a marketing campaign for the launch next month of a bilingual, Quebec-focused site called Chacun Son Vin. That initiative is being handled by Sopexa of Montreal.

"Hitting 500,000 unique visitors in Ontario alone has pushed us into an online success story," said company founder Bryan McCaw. "We felt that reaching that plateau warranted a program that showcased our experience and knowledge about wine. Equally important, in an online world where anyone can claim to be a wine critic and start a blog, we've managed to bring together most of the top, peer-respected wine critics in the country. Our marketing partners will help us achieve broader awareness both from advertisers and consumers alike."
