WESTJET TAKES OFF AGAIN WITH AD CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
WestJet Airlines of Calgary got the go ahead this week to start flying again and launched a print campaign in Western Canada to promote that it's back in business. Radio and TV will be used in the future. The ads promote a special introductory price of $45 one way to any destination serviced by the airline. The Image Brokers of Calgary creates ads for WestJet. The discount airline was grounded on Sept. 17 by the Federal Department of Transport because of a dispute over maintenance procedures. It will start flying again tomorrow. WestJet began operating last February. It flies to and from the cities of Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary, Kelowna, B.C., Vancouver and Victoria.
