Microsoft conducts Windows Dorm Tour

Microsoft began an experiential marketing campaign in Ontario yesterday aimed at college and university students. The initiative, called the "Windows Dorm Tour," makes use of a branded trailer outfitted to recreate a dorm room that will visit various campuses around the province. Promotional workers will demonstrate Microsoft's products and services, including Windows 8, Surface, Windows Phone, Office 365, Skype and Xbox Music, and how they might fit into a day in the life of a student.
The tour will visit Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, the University of Western Ontario in London, York University in Toronto and Seneca College in Toronto. It will also stop at the FroshFest and YorkFest events in Toronto. Students at participating schools who post to Twitter about the Windows Dorm will be entered into a draw for a Microsoft After Dark Party at their school. The event will include a DJ and the first on-campus preview of the new Xbox One video game console in Canada.
The campaign was developed by Black Chalk Marketing of Toronto with public relations and event support from Veritas Communications of Toronto.
