BCP CAMPAIGNS

BCP's Toronto office is having a busy summer. The agency is launching three campaigns in August. U.S.-based Calvin Klein is using TV in Canada for the first time. There are 11 30-second spots, and seven 15-second commercials that are reminiscent of what you'd get if the ads were shot using an eight millimetre camera. The commercials will be supported by print and outdoor in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. The ads were created by Calvin Klein's in-house agency, while BCP selected those to be seen in Canada and handled the media buy.

Clothing retailer Jean Machine is launching a co-op campaign with major suppliers such as Guess, Silver and Levi's jeans. It uses transit for both corporate and product advertising. The company has 30 outlets in Canada.

Beginning in the fall, music retailer Sunrise Records will be driving around Ontario in a 1975 pink Cadillac at fairs and special events to promote its music chain. It will be supported by radio ads. Its theme for the campaign is "Out There. First." The chain wants to be known for being the first one to have the latest releases, and for having bands playing in its stores. Sunshine has 30 outlets in Canada.
