LEO BURNETT WINS U.K. NINTENDO BUSINESS

Leo Burnett/London recently won the U.K. business for Nintendo. The agency was given the account without a review. It has been working on the business on a proactive basis for seven months. "The coming months will be some of the most exciting in Nintendo's history in the U.K. It is essential that we have a solid business partner to help us achieve our ambitious targets. Leo Burnett has demonstrated a deep understanding of our business issues and a flair for this fast-moving sector," Total Home Entertainment marketing director George Wood says in a release. Total Home distributes Nintendo products in the U.K., which includes Game Boy, Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Nintendo 64, which will be launched in the U.K. in 1997. Leo Burnett also has the Nintendo business in Canada, the U.S. and Slovenia.
