Unilever breaks Girls Unstoppable campaign

Unilever has begun a new out-of-home advertising campaign called "Girls Unstoppable" in support of its Dove brand. The effort includes two billboards in downtown Toronto that encourage mothers to talk with their daughters about body image issues. The creative focuses on the potential for these issues to impact the participation of girls in sports such as soccer and swimming. The campaign also includes social media activities on Facebook and Twitter, as well as Dove.ca. "Women across Canada have more power than they realize to shape a positive future for the girls in their lives," said Sharon MacLeod marketing vice-president for Dove. "We want to help them realize that girls want them to play this role and to empower them by giving them the tools to start this dialogue today."
