Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation retains Spielo G2

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has hired Spielo G2 of London, UK to develop and operate a new online gaming service called PlayOLG.ca. The service, which is expected to launch in late 2013, will offer online casino-style games as well as the purchase of lottery tickets. Later phases of the initiative will include bingo, sports betting and online poker. Spielo won the five-year contract in a competitive procurement process. "OLG will offer the only safe, lawful and regulated internet gaming option in Ontario," said Rod Phillips, president and CEO of the corporation. "The move into Internet gaming is an exciting step in OLG's modernization. We're pleased to have an experienced company on board to help OLG provide an interactive gaming experience that will be a secure option, regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario."
