AD DOLLARS GROWING FOR BUSINESS EQUIPMENT

Companies advertising business equipment and services are advertising more, according to a study by ACNielsen of Markham, Ont. Last year, companies advertising those products and services ranked fourth place in terms of ad dollars spent, a jump from ninth place in 1994. Retail advertisers were the biggest spenders followed by automotive and food. Entertainment advertising rounded out the top five. Over $4 billion in 65 categories was spent in advertising last year.
