Website roundup

Toyota Canada has released a website called the Hybridizer that is intended to allow consumers to calculate the money they could save by driving a hybrid or electric vehicle rather than a conventional vehicle. The site, located at <http://www.hybridizer.ca>, includes typical driving scenarios such as a commute, a weekend trip or a longer drive. The site also includes information on electricity costs, charging times and emissions. The site is being promoted with a contest that will run until April 31. Five winners will receive the use of a 2012 Toyota Prius for one week. "With rising gas prices, Canadians are always looking for the most fuel efficient way to handle their daily commute," said Stephen Beatty, chief environmental officer at Toyota Canada. "The Hybridizer tool gives Canadians the opportunity to experience how a hybrid or electric vehicle can fit into their lives."
