Randstad Canada acquires SFN Group

Toronto-based recruitment and human resources services company Randstad Canada has acquired SFN Group and its brands, which include The Mergis Group, Technisource and Spherion. No financial details are available. Randstad will reposition these companies to improve its own services, geographic coverage and industry expertise. The Mergis Group will become Randstad Professionals and will specialize in recruitment in fields including marketing, sales, finance and accounting. Technisource will become Randstad Technologies and will specialize in information technology staffing. "Randstad is realigning its businesses in order to meet the evolving needs of Canadian employers and candidates," said Jan Hein Bax, president of Randstad Canada. "We will provide easier access to more resources while delivering the same high-performing level of professional talent we are known for."
