CRTC approves sale of two Newcap stations to Dufferin Communications

Newfoundland Capital Corporation of Dartmouth has received approval from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission for its subsidiary Newcap to sell two radio stations in Winnipeg to Dufferin Communications, a subsidiary of Evanov Radio Group. The transaction is expected to close within 60 days. Newfoundland Capital holds 79 radio licences nationally. Evanov Radio holds twelve broadcast licences and operates two radio stations in Halifax, one in Hawkesbury, one in Ottawa, four in the Greater Toronto Area and two in the Kitchener-Waterloo region.
