Ikea Canada opens art installation in Toronto

Furniture retailer Ikea Canada has opened a four-day installation in Toronto called ExhibitIkea. The installation features Ikea-themed art by fashion designer David Dixon, photographer George Whiteside, sculptor Bruno Billio and artist Thrush Holmes. A video tour of the exhibit has also been placed on the brand's Facebook page. "It came as a pleasant surprise that artists of this caliber were willing to partner with us on this project," said Madeleine Löwenborg-Frick, public relations manager at Ikea Canada. "We recognize that the creative community, as well as our customers, often use our products as the foundation for customizing personalized design. We felt this exhibit was a great way of celebrating this creative expression."
