Optimum Public Relations adds two in Montreal

Optimum Public Relations has appointed Marie-Claude Lavigne to the position of vice-president of public ffairs at its Montreal office. She will begin work on April 4. Lavigne was most recently director of communications and public relations at Nouvelle Autoroute 30. Prior to that she was a senior public relations advisor at National Bank Financial Group. She has also been a press attaché at the Québec Education Minister's Office, director of public relations and press at Cavalia, director of communication at the DEC Minister's Office and a press attachée for the Government of Canada. Michèle Barmash has joined Optimum as an account manager. She was previously a public relations account manager at Zak Communications. Prior to that she worked in communications and marketing at L'oréal Canada.
