Hill & Knowlton Canada and its Decima Research company have added new faces to its offices. Peter Renz has joined H&K's Toronto office as vice president. Previously, he was senior account director with SMW Advertising of Toronto. Mike Dearden is now a senior consultant in the provincial government relations unit at H&K's Toronto office. Most recently, he was government relations and communications director for the Canadian Bar Association. Before that, Dearden was chief of staff to the federal Minister of State. Gerogine Ulmer has been appointed vice-president and general manager of H&K's Calgary office. Formerly she was general manager of the Calgary office of Industry Canada. Dorothy Sollosy has joined H&K's Calgary office as account director. Previously she was special projects director for the Grain Transportation Agency. Lisa Ritchie is now at Decima Research of Toronto as senior vice-president. She will be responsible for conducting research for financial services and investor relations clients. Most recently, Ritchie headed up the market research department at The Toronto Dominion Bank. Jennifer Espey has joined Decima's Ottawa office as vice-president. She is returning to Decima after a year's leave to complete a PhD in political science at the University of New Mexico. Jan Waterous, the client service and business development president of H&K's Toronto office, is leaving the company this week to start her own agency, called Waterous Communications. Waterous has been with H&K for eight years.
