Health Canada breaks new anti-drug campaign

Health Canada has begun a new ad campaign in support of its National Anti Drug Strategy. The national campaign, aimed primarily at children between the ages of 13 and 15, was developed by KBS&P Canada of Toronto. The creative depicts a young girl who experiences the consequences of illicit drugs. "The consequences of drug experimentation is like a roulette game that teens just don't understand, and we brought it to life here," said Dan Pawych, the agency's chief creative officer. "This powerful spot is as real as it gets, depicting a trip that never happened, but very easily could have. It leaves viewers speechless after watching it." The television commercial is being supported by a website at DrugsNot4Me.ca, as well as various social media activities.
