American Express begins artistic contest

American Express has begun an online contest promotion via Facebook. Visitors to the contest page can enter by using an application to create an American Express advertisement. In addition, consumers will be able to create ads and enter the contest in person at a number of Toronto locations this week. The contest will run until Nov. 15. The winner will receive a trip for two to New York and will have their ad featured in the company's campaign. "Our advertising campaign, 'Realize The Potential,' encourages people to pursue their passions," said Tina Santoro, brand manager of American Express Canada. "This is a fun way to unleash the inner artist in us all."
