New publisher at Calgary Herald

Toronto-based Postmedia Network has appointed Guy Huntingford to the position of publisher of the Calgary Herald. He will begin work on Aug. 30. Huntingford was most recently president and CEO of WinSport Canada. Prior to that, he spent 26 years at Sun Media, most recently as senior group publisher for southern Alberta. He was also publisher and CEO of the Calgary Sun. Outgoing Herald publisher Malcolm Kirk was recently appointed executive vice-president of digital media at Postmedia.
