IT World Canada shuffles staff

Toronto-based publisher IT World Canada has appointed Fawn Annan to the positions of president and group publisher. She joined the company five years ago and has previously been general manager of executive events, marketing director, publisher of the enterprise division, vice-president of operations and chief strategist. Laurie Chasse has been appointed to the position of vice-president of operations for ITWC. She was previously director of IT development. Prior to joining the firm a year ago, she was the applications development director at Primus Telecommunications Canada and software development manager at London Telecom. David Spindler has been hired as vice-president of sales and marketing. His previous ran his own consulting business and was director of e-business and vendor business development for Tech Data. He was also regional manager for Ingram Micro Canada. Brad McBride has been appointed publisher of Computer Dealer News. He was most recently sales director for IT World Canada. Sionne Roberts, general manager of the company's Visability marketing services division, has been given the additional job of overseeing the firm's new Tech Learning Space program. Donna Butts has been appointed director of the project management office and logistics. Steve Kawalit has been appointed audience acquisition marketing manager.
