Ontario Power Authority begins Unplug Your Stuff campaign
By Adnews Staff
The Ontario Power Authority has begun a social media campaign called "Unplug Your Stuff" intended to encourage teenagers to reduce their electricity consumption by unplugging electronic devices when they are not in use. The two-month campaign consists of a website at <http://www.unplugyourstuff.ca> as well as a Facebook page. Visitors to these sites can earn points toward prizes by performing the power-saving activities listed there. Points can also be earned by encouraging others to visit the site. The sites also offer videos, games and quizzes. The Ontario Power Authority is conducting this promotion with the sponsorship of WWF Canada.
