Magazines Canada announced the winners of its first annual Best on Page Awards for Canadian magazine advertising creative yesterday. Special Olympics Canada and Grey Canada won the award for best full page or double-page spread ad for an execution called "Barbell." This ad was also named Best in Show. A Tourism Toronto ad called "Killer Robots," created by Leo Burnett Toronto, won the award for best small space or fractional ad. Johnson & Johnson and Lowe Roche won the best campaign award for their "A Gentle End" campaign. Magazines Canada is a national trade association representing Canadian-owned consumer, cultural, specialty, professional and business media magazines.
