CBMA merges with Magazines Canada
The Canadian Business Media Association has merged with Magazines Canada of Toronto. The association represents business-to-business media outlets. Under the terms of the agreement, the CBMA will be dissolved and its members incorporated into the membership of Magazines Canada. With the addition of CBMA's member, Magazines Canada will now represent approximately 400 magazines, including 125 business titles. Magazines Canada has created a new business media advisory committee to advise on the needs of these publications.
"Magazines Canada has been a leading supporter of the B2B industry for many years now, and this merger is a great step for our sector," said Scott Jamieson, vice-chair of Magazines Canada's board of directors. "It strengthens our voice on the national stage and improves our ability to coordinate on projects that will mean a brighter future for business media.
