Magazines Canada selects new board

Magazines Canada of Toronto has selected a board of directors for 2019 to 2020. Jennifer Varkonyi, publisher of Maisonneuve, has been appointed chair of the association. Scott Jamieson of Canadian Forest Industries is the past chair. Gilles Gagnier of Canadian Geographic has been appointed treasurer. Additional board members include Patty Baxter of East Coast Living, Ryan Benn of Alive, Joe Glionna of Oral Health, Kelly Hobson of Reader’s Digest Canada, Ken Hunt of Toronto Life, Christine Johnston of Maclean’s, Chelene Knight of Room, Michal Kozlowski of Geist, Samia Madwar of The Walrus and Francine Tremblay of Owl.
