BBM Analytics readies radio monitoring service

Adease Media Research has reached an agreement to digitally monitor radio commercial advertising activity on behalf of BBM Analytics, a subsidiary of Toronto-based BBM Canada. BBM Analytics will introduce this monitoring service in Montreal in April, followed by Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. Activity on monitored stations will be available to subscribers online on a weekly basis. The service will also include daily alerts to new activity and the ability to listen to new radio creative. "We are always looking for ways to make it easier for our clients to gain insight into what is occurring in a very competitive broadcast media landscape," says David Phillips, vice-president of BBM Analytics. "Radio has always been a media where limited competitive activity has been available to broadcasters, advertising agencies and advertisers. Our clients have been asking us for this information for a while and Adease has the technology that will allow us to provide a comprehensive database to the industry."
